Join AIA Central Massachusetts for a workshop that explores design elements that are incorporated into green housing including materials, energy and water use, insulation and smart-growth design. This seminar is led by David Kelman GRI and Michelle Roberts. Kelman has been a Realtor in the Boston area since 1992 and serves as the co-chair of the BSA Housing Committee. He is a member of the Green Roundtable and has moderated workshops on housing, sustainability and historic properties at Build Boston. Roberts is a Building Science-systems Designer and Consultant and the Principal and CEO of Chatham Hill residential Design and Build and a national instructor for the Pennsylvania College of Technology - Penn State Factory Built Housing Center. She is also the founder and creator of Ecohealth Homes and was appointed to Governor Patrick's Zero Net Energy Task Force.
The program fee for each seminar is $15 ($10 for AIA Central Massachusetts and BSA members). 2.0 HSW Learning Unit is provided for this workshop.
This interactive presentation is open to all design professionals, builders, clients/owners, building officials and allied industry professionals on a first-come, first-served basis.
